Computational physics lab

Here we test ideas in fundamental physics with simulations anyone can rerun. We start from a question, write down what would count as an answer, and then run the numbers.

How we work

Rules first.

The rule and the success criteria are fixed before looking at the results.

Controls that can fail.

Every measure is tested on cases with a known answer. If the controls fail, the result does not count.

What is assumed stays visible.

We keep what is calculated apart from what is assumed, and we report what did not work.

Experiments

In progress

Can geometry emerge from entanglement?

We start from quantum bits with no notion of distance, and from graphs that rewrite themselves, and look for the conditions under which something like space appears. No result is published yet: a demo will appear here once it is convincing.
